parental leave

All employees at the Technische Universität Berlin who look after their child themselves are eligible for parental leave (staff on fixed-term and permanent contracts, part-time employees and Student Assistants). This entitlement shall apply until a child has reached the age of three. It is also possible, subject to the consent of the employer, to take up to one year of the parental leave allowance between the third and eighth birthdays of the child.
